What Causes Pain And Bleeding From Navel?

Hello today at work I noticed that my belly button hurt every time I bent down so I went to the restroom to see if it was red or anything and noticed it was bleeding. not like gushing blood but there was dry blood so I cleaned it off and a few hours later I noticed some gooy blood was back. what would this be from?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain and bleeding from navel and also having gooy discharge that can be pus seems to be due to infection in the navel area..
As navel is an area which can accumulate moisture and dirt there is more chance of proliferation of bacterial growth leading to infection and pus formation along with pain..

I would suggest you to consult a General Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and a swab culture of pus and blood that is being oozed from the area can be done for confirmation of diagnosis..

You can be advised to clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply a combination of antibiotic and steroid ointment over it..
Take a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to relieve infection as well as pain..
Keep the area clean and dry and do not let moisture to accumulate..
Avoid wearing very tight clothes..
