What Causes Pain And Bleeding From The Anus?

My son woke up this morning and had blood all over his shorts and legs, felt ok until he went to go the bathroom and then almost passed out with pain. I just found out he is in surgery. Assuming colon something...what would give those symptoms and nearly immediate surgery?

Hello,

Most probably it will be due to conditions like haemorrhoids or anal fissure. Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. As of now, you can take laxatives to smoothen your bowel movements.
