What Causes Pain And Bleeding While Passing Stools?

The last couple of mornings when having a bowel movement I have noticed small amount blood on tp when wiping. The stools have been little painful passing, so not sure if maybe torn little. But only happens in the mornings. I usually have more than one bowel movement a day.

Hi,
I understand your query.
Painful motion with slight bleeding suggests hard stools,difficulty in passing ,straining causes bruising of rectal mucus membrane & causes bleeding.
The cause for such condition is mainly constipation where the fecal matter lies in bowels for a long time & water it it gets absorbed to make it dry & difficult to pass.This is due to-
- wrong eating habit. Food should contain lot of fibers & plenty of water , to avoid constipation.
- certain bowel infections lead to constipation/
Please consult your doctor for physical examination/ investigations as per need to find the cause & specific treatment to be started after that.
