Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain And Bruising In The Leg After Injury?
I fell on some concrete stairs two days ago. While there is no swelling and minimal, almost non existent, bruising there IS severe pain to the touch. I ve been experiencing shooting pains and a limp while walking due to pain from too much pressure on my leg .There s also one spot on my shin that is numb to the light touch but hurts with the slightest bit of pressure. Is there a chance I ve damaged some kind of nerve?
It could be an inflammatory swelling or reaction. As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. You can also apply icepacks for faster recovery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
