What Causes Pain And Burning In The Spine?

I have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and have fibro and inflammatory arthirtis. I take pain meds on a daily basis. I tried a new drug called targin. I had a really bad attack or something where I felt pain and buring in the mid region towards the top of the spine below the neck and the lower back right to the tailbone as well as burning pain in the front of both of my top legs just above the knee. I threw up and felt like I was on fire. Then I finally got enough pain meds in me to relieve the pain. I would have gone to 50 mg of targin throughout the day. I also had what I would describe as being much like labour pains during this attack. Could the drug have been the problem or was it some sort of attack? I felt a strong burning sensation for several days and still feel it mildly. Is it the drug or me.
