What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In The Ankle And Toes?

For the last 3 months the top far left 1 inch in from little toe to 1 inch from my ankle slightly surface but more inwards into the foot, but not the sole..........has been hurting, sort of a burning sensation, it does pain me through the day, after 4 hours into a working day on my feet I begin to limp a little due to discomfort. ........any advice would be muchly appreciated. thanks
