What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation Post Ejaculation?

hi , i think i may have prosatitis i have some burning and or pain after ejeculation and am going to the toilet more often and not emptying my bladder i was given a months supply of Trimethoprim and it sometimes eased the symptons they are back a day after finishing them?

Prostatitis is inflammation of the prostate gland, which can cause pain or discomfort during ejaculation, as well as frequent urination and difficulty emptying the bladder. Trimethoprim is an antibiotic commonly used to treat bacterial infections, including prostatitis. Your symptoms may be caused by a bacterial infection that is not effectively treated by Trimethoprim, or that the infection has not completely resolved.

Other possible causes of pain and burning sensation after ejaculation include sexually transmitted infections, urinary tract infections, or prostate cancer. It is important to follow up with your healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms and determine the appropriate course of treatment. They may suggest further testing or referral to a specialist.
