What Causes Pain And Clicking Sound In Shoulder Joint While Rotating It?

my shoulder pops when i rotate it along and it feels sore sometimes more than other times. what is it?
I am 26 female 120 lbs active lifestyle
been in a few car accidents where i didn't continue physical therapy. Car accidents were mostly me being rear ended by another car.
