What Causes Pain And Cramping Behind The Knee?

My left leg was sore behind the knee last and has been cramping up for awhile, like Charlie hourses. Today I noticed a small bruise looking thing and then looked in the mirror and found a bigger bruise looking thing behind my knee. Are the two related and should I be concerned?

Hello,

A few causes of pain behind the knee are trauma leading to a bruise and pain, Baker's cyst at the back of the knee, hematoma, popliteal artery aneurysm and soft tissue tumor. For accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment, you need to be examined clinically in person and if necessary any x ray or MRI may be ordered.

For the time being, for pain relief take tab. Ibuprofen once daily for 3 days and Tab. Pantop once daily before food for 3 days. Please do consult an orthopedic specialist for further evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
