Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi I m a lady. I noticed that between my menstrual period and ovulation period I have this abdominal discomfort that pains me down to my legs and it makes me feel uncomfortable. it almost two years now that its been happening to me. It started after I used a sanitary towel that has been contaminated by an undisposed used sanitary towel. and I m really worried. I hope its not cancer. thanks
I think it's quite normal to have such pains. it is generally known as premenstrual symptoms. Even then if you are worried you can visit a gynecologist for a proper checkup of your cervix. If infection I'd there it can be treated with a course of antibiotics. Likelihood of cancer is very low. If you are married more than 3 years you can go for a paps smear testing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Khushboo Priya
