What Causes Pain And Discomfort In The Knees And Ankles?
I have a crackling in my knee to the touch when I bend it. I had dull pain from my knee to my ankle during the night. I took 600 mg of ibuprofen. This morning I have no pain, slight stiffness during the day today. Can t think of anything that I did that would have caused it.

The symptoms seem to be related to rheumatoid arthritis. I suggest you to use anti-inflammatory medications for the pain such as Ibuprofen or Naproxen. I also suggest to do a complete blood count and an rheumatoid factor level to confirm the diagnosis and take further treatment.
