Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain And Discomfort On The Left Leg While Walking?
For the last week, I have had difficulty walking with my left leg. It is very uncomfortable around my ankle and my knee. Ibuprofen helps but after a week I don t want to depend on pain killers. Never had this problem before. Pain level when walking without pain killers is around a 4.
I would like to know a few more details related before I can come to a definite diagnosis. Have you had any history of fall or trauma to that leg, are there any swollen thick veins seen on your leg, do you have high blood cholesterol? I would suggest you to get a blood cholesterol level checked. If you find any swellings in the joint areas of knee and ankle upon walking, kindly get an X ray done to see if there is any effusion to rule out arthritis.
I hope this helps. Thank you
