What Causes Pain And Hard Lump Inside The Vagina?

Hi!i have a painful and hard lump inside my vagina, near my vaginal entrance but a few days ago it was only a scratchy feeling near my vaginal lips . i read about it and it seems to be an infected Bartholin gland. i only noticed it yesterday night and before that i had sex and i felt discomfort during intercourse. now i need to know if i can treat it with medicine or do i have to have an operation to remove the infection? and please tell me is it even serious because i can barely see it but it s red and painful and i see one or two white bumps on the lips but they dont look so bad.

I really appreciate your concern, such swelling could be due to lymph node, to rule out the Bartholine cyst you need to get done the clinical examination without this it can be ruled out hope this information helps, take care.
