What Causes Pain And Loss Of Mobility In Right Elbow?

I am currently experiencing pain and loss of mobility in my right elbow. My range of motion is less than 90° and my pain level is between 3 and 7 (0 = no pain, 10 = severe), depending on time of day and activity. I believe the injury was caused while performing a heavy weightlifting movement called a hang clean. This injury happened more than a year ago and has gotten worse with time. Any advice? Thank you for your time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should undergo further tests in order to find the type of injury which is causing the pain. Doing an MRI can be the best option. Meanwhile you can try to avoid excessive movement of the arm. Use anti-inflammatory drugs such Advil or Naproxen for pain and inflammation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
