What Causes Pain And Lump At IV Insertion Site On Arm?

I had blood taken last week and IV inserted after i was hospitalized because they thought i may have had meningitis due to symptoms i was having. ever since i left I ve had this pain in my arm and a small knot where the blood was taken and the IV should I be concerned?

Hello,

It may be due to thrombophebitis.

For that you can apply thrombophob ointment locally.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

In case of fever you may require tablet acetaminophen.
