General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If we strain our muscles we might get pain with movement and a lump in the area where the muscle is hurt (strained).

You can take some paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with pain and some local warm compresses to help the muscle relax.

If you notice no improvement in 4-5 days or you notice any worsening of the pain or new symptoms then please see your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
