What Causes Pain And Numbness Around Hip And Leg Caused After Injury?

Hi, I m currently performing in a show and during a dance routine, I seem to have landed weirdly on my hip/sacrum (left lateral portion of my back hip) after I did a roll on the ground. Since then, I have numbness down my leg and pain on certain movements, mostly hip flexion, external rotation and when I place all my weight on Thant one injured side. I have shows everyday this week and just wondering if this is serious or if I can manage it for now with ice, Voltaren and stretches? Thank you for your help!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Abnormal sensations are likely due to neuropathy. This refers to abnormal function of the nerves.
There are different causes, including trauma.

There are different levels of nerve damage but it is likely that the injury may be mild and would repair itself.
This can sometimes take weeks to months to occur.

It would be best to see a doctor for assessment to make sure that it would be ok to continue dancing at this time.

I hope this helps
