What Causes Pain And Numbness At The Back Of The Ear?

Twice in the past 2 month i have had a pull in tat part of the left head where the obstrecian puts the tongs and pulls the baby out. All of a sudden i feel a sudden pain down until the back of the ear. It lasts for mayb a few seconds and i feel numbness. Can u pls tel me wat is the cause of this?
