What Causes Pain And Numbness In Lower Back Radiating To Leg And Knee?

I have pain and numbness in my lower back that runs down the right leg to the knee. Also I have major pain in the bottom of my feet along the arch area and also pain and numbness in my shins. I have been to 1 doctor who told me it was sciatica and did nothing about it I would like to get more information on what it could be.

Hi,

Thanks for choosing HCM.

After going through your question. Yes, there is likely possibility of sciatica.

In it there is compression nerve root which causes pain along the distribution of nerve.

There is need for evaluation, you should consult orthopedician for detailed examination.

Depending upon examination there may be need for xray or MRI of lumbosacral spine.
Depending upon it appropriate treatment can be planned.

Till that time you can use pain killer with muscle relaxant, pregabalin for neurological pain.

Hope this helps you, if so do vote.
