What Causes Pain And Numbness In The Left Arm?

after a very stressful morning on Friday, I began to experience pain and numbness radiating down my left arm and tingling in my fingers. I am a heart patient with stents and double bypass surgery 6 years ago I am not having chest pain but this is uncomfortable. To my knowledge, I have not injured myself by heavy lifting. I have taken extra strength Tylenol and applied heat and ice. I keeps reoccurring. could it be heart related?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Cardiac issues should be excluded. I recommend doing an EKG and a blood test for further evaluation. I also recommend checking the cardiac enzyme level such as troponin which is high in case of a cardiac issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
