General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is normal for the pain to last for 1-2 weeks after we have injured our foot.

In your case, because you were hurt with a tile and you bleed, it is important to talk to your doctor and consider tetanus prophylaxis.
Otherwise, the wound should heal in another week as long as the redness and swelling are not getting worse.

If the redness or swelling are worsening, this may be a sign of infection and antibiotics may be needed.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,

Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
