What Causes Pain And Numbness On The Right Side Of The Body?
Hi, On and off for the last week. I have had a pain, numbness and weakness down the right side of my body from my hips, buttocks down to my upper leg stopping just below my knee. I have muscle relaxant pain which helps temporarily. It may continue for an hour one morning, then disappear only to reappear a few times more during the day. Only the last couple of days it has affected my right side above the hips. I m worried it may be a stroke. Nearing the end if yesterday I became dizzy and faint with my vision blurring a bit. This disappeared after a few minutes. I appreciate your advice. Karl
Pain in buttocks that radiates down to leg is typically caused by pinched nerve and unlikely a stroke. So that's unlikely to be caused by a stroke.
Howe'ver dizziness along with the blurring of vision is important, though it may not be serious at all, but still, it's important to consider it and gets evaluated for it.
So I would suggest you should seek medical advice for proper management to be checked and examined properly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
General & Family Physician
