What Causes Pain And Pressure In The Head?

Hello. I have headaches on the side of my head. I can feel my pressure has risen. I think it is because of my stomach. It is hot and I am having irregular bowels. This happens to me occasionally and goes off after I take painkillers. Can you recommend something?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and pressure in the head . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like viral syndrome , occipital neuralgia , sinusitis or migraine or cervical spondylosis .

High blood pressure can also cause such symptoms. I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test to confirm the diagnosis like CT scan MRI . Doctor may order blood test along with checking vitals .

Doctor may prescribe antiviral like acyclovir along with anti inflammatory ,vasograin , beta blockers , furosemide and physical therapy of neck . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for muscle and bone problem . For now take paracetamol along with taking proper rest .

For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
