For weeks I have been experiencing headaches and other head pain and pressure. I was told by an orthopedist (when I saw him for shoulder pain) that issues I have with my neck would not cause pain in my head. The head pain started at the back right side, sort of an ebb-and-flow sensation. Now it has moved to my temple areas and the base of my skull. Today, while driving home from work, I had a sensation similar to goosebumps along the right side of my face, which then spread to my chin. I have an appointment with a neurologist, but, of course, I have to wait weeks to see him. Of course, any head pain leads me to worry about a tumor or some sort. My normal headaches emanating from my neck issues (degenerated discs, spinal stenosis, etc.) are usually alleviated with Ibuprofen. These headaches are not. Should I go to the ER or wait for my neurologist appointment? At this point the headaches/pressure are not debilitating, but they are getting more bothersome.
