What Causes Pain And Red Patches On Right Leg Calf Area In A Diabetic?

my legs ache while standing..i have developed red scaley areas on the outside of my right leg calf area..I have type 2 diabetes,hypertension,sarcoidosis...It is very painful to walk or stand for more than 5 - minutes..I am concerned about the red areas turning into ulcers..i take 20 mg prednisone daily..1000 mg metformin..10 mg glipicide,300 mg gabapentin/3x day,25 mg hydralazine/3 x day,20 mg lisinopril / 2x day,20 mg lovastatin /1x day,5000iu vitamin D3/1xday,81 mg aspirin/1x day and 500 mg omega 3 krill oil..I do not drink alcohol..I am 64 5ft 10 in weight 210..and watch my diet...my kidney dr is satisfied witnmy A1C,blood pressure and cholesterol levels...my legs ache big time while standing or walking...do I need to go see my GP

Hi,
The problem you are having might be due to having peripheral neuritis which is common in diabetes.
Having red scaly area and developing ulcer indicates that you might be having diabetic foot.
Consult diabetic leg specialist and get examined.
Continue with Gabapentin for neuritis.
Go for slow walking exercises daily.
Ok and take care.
