What Causes Pain And Restricted Movement In Ribs 7 Months After Fracture?

I am a healthy 18 year old female. I was in a road traffic accident 7 months ago and suffered multiple injuries including a number of fractured ribs on the left side. i was told it will take 6 weeks to heal but after 7 months i am still getting alot of pain. My movement is still restricted and it hurts to caugh, sneeze etc and when pressure is applied. Any suggestions as to why this is?
