I have very sensitive left elbow right above the elbow joint. the point feels like the end of the radius bone in my arm. dull pain most of the time but any contact or touching of this area is sharp stabbing pain. appears some inflammation in the area. I have not had any trauma or blunt force to this area.

Hello,

Having sensitive left elbow with some inflammation appearing in the area, is indicating inflammation of the elbow, most probably due to arthritis changes as long as you are not referring any trauma or blunt force to this area recently. To me, you need X-ray and MRI of the elbow for a full evaluation of the changes there. For the moment, apply cold compresses locally (not ice), and anti-inflammatory cream locally. Take paracetamol or ibuprofen for the pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
