What Causes Pain And Soreness In The Legs After Treating A Knee Injury?

I have aching and soreness in my legs. I had a minor knee surgery in October and my legs ache all over and not just my knee area. I take 2 cholesterol medications (Pravastatin and Fenofibrate) and one for my suger (Metformin). Could this be causing my legs to hurt and if so what can I do? I have been lifting weights but the soreness will not go away. It is bad especially after sitting or laying down for a long time. Thanks, Tom
