What Causes Pain And Soreness On The Shoulder Blade Region?

I have been having very severe pain on occasion in my left shoulder blade that feels like it is on fire after eating peanut butter and coffee with shortness of breath Then after about an hr. it is relieved but the next day my left shoulder blade is still slightly sore with movement. Is this gall bladder

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you havepain and soreness on the shoulder blade region . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like avascular necrosis , bursitis , cervical radiculopathy , frozen shoulder , impingement , sprains and strains or tendinitis . Cervical spodylosis or wrong posture can also cause such symptoms .I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on shoulder and give your shoulder proper rest . Also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get well then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory along with vitamin supplement for quick recovery . Doctor may also recommend surgery in severe disc problem .
