What Causes Pain And Spasms Under The Ribcage On The Right Side?

In my ribs or under ribs, Mid body, Probably toward bottom or rib cage on my right side.. If I bend over, move wrong it Has a spasm but pain level is so intense. Yet the part I m trying to figure out is the muscle or something swells up and sticks out as this is going on.. It gets big in that area for like 10 seconds.. If I hold it kinda pushing it back in the pain is less and it goes away faster.. Why or what is this thing pre trudging out for a few seconds while the pain is intense..

Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be muscular however chest X-ray and ultrasound abdomen should be done to rule out lung or liver pathology. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
