General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible causes like acid reflux must be ruled out. Other possibilities like any lump or tumor in the esophagus (food pipe) may also lead to similar symptoms.

Consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated. An endoscopy may be required to make a diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
