What Causes Pain And Stiffness In Neck And Arm Post Seizure Attack?

hey doctor I recently had a seisere excuse my spelling but my neck was hurting so the hospoital went ahead an ran a cat scan on my neck also they said that c1 c2 c3 in the neck have all shifted 7mm to the left and that rthe cartilage pushing of the muscle I have a lot of stiffness pain and my arm gets weak after just a little work is this bad and how bad I haven t got to see my neuroscience yet thank you

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and stiffness in neck and arm post seizure attack . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query sciatica , herniated disk , foraminal stenosis , cervical osteoarthritis or cervical degenerative disc disease . Consult neurologist to discuss the condition . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon also for proper examination . Doctor may take histroy , check movement of arm and neck , order CT scan or MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory , vitamin supplement like vitamin D 3 and in some cases doctor may recommend surgery . Doctor may also recommend bed rest or particular stretching exercises . For now apply warm compresses to neck and arm take proper rest .
