What Causes Pain And Swelling Above The Wrist?
Hi, I started a new job and lifted heavy boxes all day. My wrist began to hurt and now the next day I am swelling right above my wrist where my thumbs align. This is happening on both arms/wrist. Do you know what this could be? I have pain and can t do normal activities like twisting door knobs, steering wheel ect.

The pain and swelling you describe above your wrists is probably due muscle stress/strain from your new job. I will suggest you rest well and take a pain/anti-inflammatory drug like Ibuprofen and apply a local pain gel like Voltarene gel. If pain is intense, ice pack placement may also help.
