Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I banged knees with someone on Sunday, I have swelling, there was pain in the back of my knee, and now it has shifted to my quad. X-rays were negative, and I was told it may be a bone bruise, I fear it may be a ligament issue. Are these symptoms consistent with a bone bruise?
It seems to be due to muscular injury or sprain not due to ligament injury as in ligament injury there is also unstable gait
follow advises
Apply Nanofast gel local application twice a day for 3-5 days avoid fast walking till pain subside Avoid squatting Hot fomentation twice a day for 3 days Apply crepe bandage to stabilize knee and to reduce pain
Consult again if symptom persist
