What Causes Pain And Swelling Following Shin Injury?

hello doc, hello Doctor-I am on zeralto. I fell onto a step hitting my shin on my left leg very hard . I keept ice on it immediately . today it is swollen and hurts a great deal, I have it elevated and want to know do I go see a Doctor???

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to the injury. I suggest using painkillers such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also recommend icing the area to relieve the pain. If the pain continues, I suggest to do an x-ray to exclude a possible fracture.
