What Causes Pain And Swelling In Eye After Taking Lucentis Injections?

For the past four years I have regularly been having Lucentis injections in my eye for Wet Macular Degeneration. After my most recent injection I experienced extreme pain in the eye, like something sharp was being drawn down the eye, also the eye was very red, weepy and swollen for several days. I asked my eye specialist to explain why this happened but I feel I was dismissed as complaining about nothing and no reason was given to me nor did he express any care or concern that it not happen again. Please don t suggest that I change doctor as this would mean I had to travel a great distance to see another. Can you help with a reasonable answer? What happened to FREE answers. A rather misleading title.
