What Causes Pain And Swelling In Fingers At Night?

Hi there, for the past few days, I have been waking up in the night to terrible pain and swelling in my fingers on both hands. The pain eventually subsides in a few hours, or lasts to some degree all day. Can you help me figure out what is happening?

Swelling and pain in legs can be due to 2 reasons. First of all pain can be due to nerve compression. I would recommend change your sleep posture. Because in some posture nerve can be compressed and pain plus numbness can occur. Swelling can occur due to some trauma or fracture. Some fracture are too small to detect on X ray such as scaphoid. So may be swelling is due to some minor fracture.
