Fertility is age dependent. Chance for having a baby is higher in women younger than 35 years of age & men younger than 40 years of age.
Children of older parents have a higher risk of having genetic abnormalities & birth defects.
The risk of miscarriages & complications in pregnancy are higher in older women.
However, if you are interested in getting pregnant you can consult a gynae & get physically examined, get Imaging tests, USG, HSG, etc done. Get infertility treatment or IVF treatment done.
In the meantime take nutritious food, food rich in calcium, iron, protein & folic acid.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
