What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Legs While Suffering From Fibromyalgia?

Hi, I have RA and Fibromyalgia. I am on Xeljanz, Gabepentin, Tramadol, and Cymbalta. For the last month or so I ve been having painful swelling with pitting on my legs from the knees down. The worst of the pain is on the top of my right foot. My right leg is much more affected than my left. Can you tell me what could be causing this? The pain is a burning pain.

hi sir/mam,rheumatoid arthritis affects almost all the joints.your right ankle joint seems to be affected badly.it can cause swelling of the affected joint.as it is painful,we can rule out the other serious causes of swelling like heart disease, chronic kidney disease, cirrhosis of liver, chronic venous insufficiency.just check if you have any varicose veins.if all the above conditions are negated,we can put rheumatoid arthritis in the first place as the contributing factor of swelling.you seem to have a flare up attack of RA.please consult your rheumatologist for dose increments or any addition of new drug.hope you are satisfied with the above clarification.other health issues if any, please do write to us.thank you.take care.bye.
