hi im 26 years old i have recently been having pain in my testicles about 4 mouths ago last 3 weeks have been getting worse they are red ,sore to touch,and slightly swollen i have had a check from one doctor and he said there was nothing ab normal but booked me a ultrasound to be sure i then went to the health clinic to get checked for stis it come back all clear but the doctor there checked again and said i might have varicocele veins but get the scan to confirm but there are a few other things i think it could be but how would i get checked for these (epididymitis and orchitis ) and why have my doctor not already dont this
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.
As per your history and symptoms it seems to me some chronic infections or other condition rather than epididymitis or orchitis because these infections are acute with severe pain and mild to moderate fever associated with it. So these infections have been ruled out. But you can also take antibiotics like doxicyline course in consultation with your doctor.
You need to go for the investigation of vircocoel or even for epididymal cyst.
You can also check for the testicular reflex on pressing them if you feel jerk like response there is no cancer like issue then because if there is any seminoma or non seminomatous tumor testis looks like numb while pressing.
