What Causes Pain And Swelling In Torus Mandibularis?

I guess its called an torus mandibularis one of the bony structures under my tongue its round and has become swollen, and painful when i press on it pain shoots through my teeth on that side also, it also has this little patch of white film in the middle...can you tell me what s going on?

The pain can be because of the ulcer secondary to trauma to the mucosa(while brushing or eating) over the torus mandibularis. The other possible cause can be because of the tooth infection that has spread to involve the bone resulting in expansion of the bone. So consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. You need to get a radiograph done to confirm the diagnosis. If it is a torus mandibularis, you can get it surgically removed. If it is a tooth infection then get it treated.
