What Causes Pain And Swelling On A Burnt Wound?

I RECENTLY BURNED MYSELF ON MY FOOT WITH COOKING OIL AND I BELIEVE IT TO BE A SECOND DEGREE BURN. HOWEVER THAT WAS 1 WEEK AGO AND NOW I AM STILL EXPERIENCING PAIN ACCOMPANIED BY SWELLING. I AM RELIEVED FROM THE PAIN WHEN I AM LAYING DOWN IN BED AND FEARING THAT THIS MIGHT BE AN INFECTION. WHAT CAN I DO TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM?

Hello,

As most burns need attention and a regular dressing so the infection can be avoided. I will advise you to get it examined by a physician and get dressing done.

Post which you can do yourself dressing at home and he might help you with antibiotics. Using quick icing at the edges of the wound might help in tissue Helsing faster.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
