What Causes Pain And Swelling With Constant Draining Of The Ear?

I have severe pain and swelling in my right ear, and it feels as if it is trying to drain constantly. I have had no luck draining it, and the ear drops I was prescribed (antibiotic+steroid, and numbing) are not working. They seem to penetrate into my ear canal, but I cannot get them to drain correctly. It has been over 24 hours since I have started the medications, but I am seeing no results. If anything, it has gotten more inconvenient. What should I do?

Antibiotics has to be started at the earliest.
