General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi,
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to gall bladder stones or cholecystitis. Clay colour stools can occur in this condition due to blockade of bile. Ultrasound examination of abdomen will be helpful to rule out this. Taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ) will give some relief. Avoid fatty and spicy foods. Get a consultation with gastroenterologist.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks, Dr. Nishad BN
