What Causes Pain And Tightness In Knee?

I recently had 320 cc's drained out of my knee in a 16 hour period. The night before I had a stinging aching tightness in both my knees I tried stretching them nothing seemed to work the next day I had my right one drained they found high levels of uric acid in the fluid but no crystalization they ruled out gout what can it be.
