What Causes Pain And Tingling In Leg After Deep Bruising Of Hip?

I possibly bruised the muscles in my left hip pelvic area 4 weeks ago and now I am developing more mild pain and slight tingling down my leg. I have had 5 sessions of physio and am doing exercises daily as well as walking the golf course and playing 2 games of softball per week and gardening. I am most comfortable sitting or lying down and the pain and tingling tend to come and go, but it seems tobe getting gradually more intense. Would the bruising cause a pinched nerve.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes. The bruised muscles can cause nerve pressure to muscular swelling / bleeding in the area and / or muscle contraction caused after the trauma. You should get MRI of the region to confirm the cause. Anti-inflammatory drugs / muscle relaxants may be added to treatment after the investigation. Please consult an orthopedic doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
