What Causes Pain And Tingling Sensation In Wrist After Falling On Hand?

I fell on my hand on 5 days ago. i have pain and aching in my wrist, under the thumb. also my hand feels different, kind of tingly like the circulation isnt as good. could i have broken something. i saw a nurse 2 days ago and was told it was sprained. since then the pain and aching has increased and my hand tingles sometimes.
