What Causes Pain And Warmness In The Ear In Children?

My daughter who is 9 has been complaining about her right ear and have been feeling warm for the last 4 days. i been giving her Motrin and it seems to relieve her of the pain. she was feeling all right today, until she went on the trampoline and now she is again complaining about the pain. I gave her motrin and she is feeling better. I thought she had a swimmer ear and brought her to the dr. office on Friday and they said that she does not have swimmer ear. what could cause the pain? email address is YYYY@YYYY

The child may be suffering from acute otitis media which needs urgent treatment with antibiotics, analgesis and decongestants for at least 10 days
