What Causes Pain And Weakness In The Knee?

Okay to start things off. About 9 years ago I hyper extened my right knee. It hurt real bad for a couple of hours but after icing it I could walk just fine. Well 4 years later I was doing some drywall finishing on stilts and fell knees first on coconcrete. It hurt very bad and I had fluid come up on my knee. I never saught medical treatment for either one. Now my knee feels real weak like its going to give out and occasionally I will get pains in the sides of my knee. What could this be?
