What Causes Pain Around A Laparoscopy Incision Site?
I had a laparoscopy surgery they remove my gallbladder on 9/20 but since 10/15/2016 I been having pain around my incision s and radiates to my right side today its less pain . my question is should I need to make an appointment to see the surgeon or PCP?.
Pain is common at the site of incision and may last few days even after the surgery. It's not a big concern.
However, we need to avoid infection of the site. If the area is swollen, or very red or pus coming from it then it may need care and assessment by your PCP otherwise you don't need to worry; you may watch it carefully.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
